SUMMARY:Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we visit the Master Gardener’s Demo Garden in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Master Gardener Volunteer Demonstration Garden is a Florida-Friendly Landscaping site located at the Charlotte County Environmental Campus in Port Charlotte. It spans roughly one acre around a series of retention ponds\, connected by brick pathways and centered around a vine-covered pergola. Features labeled native plants\, butterfly and pollinator gardens\, palms\, ornamental trees\, succulents\, ground covers\, bromeliads\, and a tropical fruit garden. \nWe will carpool to the gardens –  leave from Shannon Staub Library at 8:30 am. The tour will run from 9:00 am to approximately 10:00 am. We can stay longer to take it all in and ask questions. \nKing‘s Roadhouse\, various items on the menu. Known for good burgers. 2200 Kings Hwy\, Unit 3 N\, Port Charlotte. It’s about 4 miles from the garden. \nSign up to attend the field trip at the next regular meeting on October 23rd\, or contact Karen Hahn or Lora Fielder.
