Guests are given random numbers when they arrive. \nThe person who received the #1 ticket will pick a gift (that is not their own) from the pile and open it for all to see. \nThe person who has the #2 ticket then chooses a gift and opens it. They must decide whether to keep it or swap it for the first player’s gift. Thereafter\, each person\, in numerical order\, selects a gift and decides whether to keep it or “steal” a gift someone has already chosen. \nSwapping takes place until all the presents have been chosen. With a continuing effort to reduce areas that need mowing… \n  \n \n  \n \nWhat’s Cocktails in the Garden? \n“Cocktails in the Garden” is held in a member’s garden from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. It’s for members only and spouses are encouraged to attend. The host provides beverages – wine\, water\, soda and iced tea or lemonade. We ask everyone attending to bring a dish to share. SUMMARY:Garden Party Scholarship Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Join the fun at the Allamanda Garden Club’s Fourth Annual Garden Party Scholarship Fundraiser on Thursday\, February 26th\, at 11:30 AM at the San Pedro Catholic Church. Enjoy a light lunch featuring a variety of croissants\, fruit and vegetable platters\, lovely homemade desserts\, and beverages. The event will feature a large silent raffle\, a 50/50 drawing\, and surprise entertainment! All proceeds support scholarships for students pursuing degrees in agricultural\, horticultural\, or botanical sciences. The Allamanda Garden Club is a 501(c)3. Last year\, we awarded $10\,000 in scholarships! \n Guests will be seated at tables draped in lovely linens and set with beautiful dinnerware. Every table features a different theme! Wear your floral outfits to enhance the festive atmosphere of the garden party! \nThe silent raffle promises to be an exciting and entertaining event. Raffle items include stepping stones\, pottery\, paintings\, garden-related decor\, jewelry\, and gift certificates to local museums\, restaurants\, garden centers\, and cultural events. SUMMARY:60th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for our 60th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday\, March 23rd @ 12:00 Noon. Please note the location has been changed to the Heron Creek Country Club\, 5301 Heron Creek Blvd.\, North Port. The meal will be a lovely salad bar. It will include a roll\, soup\, a nice assortment of salads\, non-alcoholic beverages\, and desserts. \nThe cost is slightly more than $25 per person\, but the board voted to cover the additional cost\, gratuity\, and the meals for the few dignitaries and scholarship winners who may attend\, possibly another 10 people\, approximately $250 to $300. \nWe must give Heron Creek a head count\, so we’re asking everyone to pay $25 for their meal at Friday’s meeting. If you can’t attend the meeting\, please mail your check to JoJo Lucibello\, 2924 Maximo Rd.\, North Port\, FL 34286. We must have received your RSVP with payment by March 10\, 2026.
