Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. It is sponsored locally by KDW Radioin North Port, one of the few campaign locations in the state of Florida.

Money donated to the Allamanda Garden Club will be used directly for our charitable giving. We make annual charitable donations to Backpack Angels, Friends of Little Salt Spring, People for Trees and area food banks. We donate books to local schools and provides financial support to school gardens. Annual scholarships are awarded to college students pursuing degrees in agricultural, botanical or horticultural areas.
