Phil Sollecito will speak about growing a successful, mostly organic vegetable garden in the hot, humid and sometimes frosty south.

He will share his experiences with vegetable varieties, timing your plantings, soil preparation, bugs, diseases and more.

Phil has a degree in Fishery Biology (his other passion is fishing!). He’s been vegetable gardening for eight years in North Port and over 40 years “up north.”  Come hear how he met the challenges of gardening in Florida.
