The Allamanda Garden Club has invited popular garden speaker Phil Sollecito back for another presentation on Friday, November 18 at 1:00pm at Dallas White Park, 5900 Greenwood Ave. Phil will speak about Organic Pest Control in the Home Garden, an important topic for many gardeners.

He will speak about methods to control garden pests and diseases without the use of synthetic chemicals on vegetables, fruit trees, and ornamentals. Phil will start with a review of standard organic gardening techniques, then shift his focus to specific new “biological” products to control insects and diseases.

Phil has a degree in Fishery Biology (his other passion is fishing!). He and his wife Wendy have been gardening for eight years in North Port and over 40 years “up north.”  Hear how Phil met the challenges of gardening in Florida.
