Gil MacAdam, a tropical fern expert, will talk about the wide world of tropical and semi-tropical ferns (terrestrial as well as epiphytic) that can be grown in Florida. Gil has a particular passion for staghorn ferns. He will have a number of tropical plants for sale – one that is particularly difficult to find: Pavonia bahamensis, known as a hummingbird magnet!

Gil MacAdam is a graduate of Kent State and worked as a Naturalist and Environmental Administrator for the Broward County Park System for 33 years.
