Rick Johnstone and Susan Mathews of Ichiban Bonsai Kai, the Bonsai Club of Port Charlotte, will be talking on Bonsai Basics while Rick creates a bonsai from carefully selected nursery stock. 
The talk will cover the basics of what makes a bonsai, popular species, how to choose, style, and cultivation. The demo bonsai will be raffled. Members may bring a bonsai with specific questions. Limit 1 per person.
